On Sunday (2\/2), at the UKDW Dormitory Chapel, the Opening Service for Dormitory Life was held with the theme “Unlimited Love.” The service was led by Rev. August Corneles Tamawiwy, MST, an Ethics and Constructive Theology lecturer commonly known as Neles, and attended by Rev. Stefanus Christian Haryono, MACF, Ph.D, the Head of the Center for Spirituality Studies and Spiritual Development (PSSPS), along with all residents of the UKDW Seturan Dormitory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his sermon, Rev. Neles emphasized the importance of love in daily life. Referencing 1 Corinthians 13:1-13, he reminded that love makes us more caring and understanding of others. Even in the pursuit of knowledge, love plays a crucial role. No matter how much knowledge one possesses, without love, it all becomes meaningless. Moreover, for dormitory residents who are being prepared as future servants of God, love must be the foundation in every aspect of their lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAll our efforts, all our knowledge, all our abilities, all our achievements, if without love, are incomplete and imperfect,\u201d said Rev. Neles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Opening Service for Dormitory Life is expected to be a good start for all dormitory residents to build closer and more supportive relationships. With the theme “Unlimited Love,” they are encouraged to embody and live out boundless love, both in their daily lives and in their academic journeys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This service was full of meaning and inspiration, providing new reflections for dormitory students to enter the new semester with better growth in love and become individuals who are more caring towards others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
